Classic New England Clam Chowder
Ingredients
- 1 pint clams
- 1/4 cup chopped bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup clam liquor see recipe
- 1 cup diced potatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash white pepper
- 2 cups milk
- Fresh parsley
Instructions

Drain clams and save liquor. Add in enough water to make a cup. Chop clams.

Fry bacon until lightly browned, and add in onion. Cook until tender.

Add in clam liquor, potatoes, seasonings, and clams. Cook until fork tender.

Add in the milk. Stir and heat through.

Garnish with chopped parsley; serve hot.
