One of the plainest looking lures, but one of the most effective. At least in Southern California. Any trip I do offshore, trolling blue water, I always have at least one cedar plug in the spread whether it is a shotgun way back down the middle or daisy chained cedar plug second to third wake back. The zig zag motion of the cedar plug seems to be the most deadly for local yellowfin tuna. As far as colors, I fish almost exclusively the natural.
