fresh clam fritters
Ingredients
- 1 dozen medium sized clams, shucked and chopped
Salt, pepper and nutmeg
2 teaspoons chopped chives
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon fresh bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon baking powder
Oil for frying
Cooking Directions
Heat oil to 375 degrees.
Mix the clam fritter ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil. Fry until golden. Transfer to paper toweling when done.
Repeat until batter is used.
